James Hazell is a presenter at BBC Radio Suffolk. He is also a smoker. He doesn't really want to give up but certain pressures are forcing the issue. These pressures are all around and are economic, social and health. In that order. So this is the blog of a man forced to quit one of life's pleasures. Very, very reluctantly.

It's Friday...

Well nobody is more surprised than me. I have made it to Friday - That's almost 5 days without fags. Most of that time has been a nightmare (literally - the patches cause all sorts of strange dreams) but today?
For the first time I feel like an ex-smoker. I seem to be ridding myself of those 'habit' urges. It's a good feeling.... And not a moment too soon.
